Dr. Gary Cheloha (think aloha, with a “ch” in front) grew up in a family where health care was the predominant career field. Having a family who guided him toward health as a profession, combined with the fact that he always liked fixing and tinkering with things, prompted him to pursue dentistry.
“I like to help people, get them out of pain and make them feel better,” says Dr. Cheloha, a dentist in Scottsbluff. “It’s very rewarding when I see the positive impact on a person’s self esteem because of our cosmetic treatments.”
As a dentist, he gets to do that every day. Dr. Cheloha also is a huge proponent of educating his patients and ensuring that they are well-informed about the best ways to care for their teeth, their treatment options and how to maintain the lifelong health of their teeth and smiles.
- Dr. Cheloha, a Lincoln native, is a 1999 graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry. He opened Monument Smiles in Scottsbluff a year later.
